This part of Tiergarten is a paradise for sunbathing, especially during warm summer days. You can relax naked on the grass, without any worries about textiles or families. Berliners affectionately call this area Tuntenwiese, which loosely translates to ‘gay meadow’. The people here are incredibly open-minded and welcoming. They come here to unwind after work, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy the sun with their partners or alone.
If you’re coming from Nollendorwplatz, it’s a 10-15 minute walk to reach the Siegessäule statue. If you walk further west, you’ll find a real cruising area in Tiergarten Park, known as Lions Bridge.
