Praia do Abricó is the only official naturist beach in Rio de Janeiro, located in the Grumari area of the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood. Affiliated with the Brazilian Federation of Naturism (FBrN), it provides a designated space for naturists within the city.
The beach is relatively small, and during high tide, the sandy area can become quite limited. Gay men often prefer the quieter end of the beach, while the more crowded section at the start tends to attract straight men and couples.
Located about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car from Copacabana, Praia do Abricó offers a unique opportunity for naturism in Rio, though its compact size and specific audience distribution may influence your experience.
