Waihi Beach, located along the northern coast between Auckland and the Bay of Plenty, is both the name of the beach town and its adjacent beach. The gay-popular nudist beach is found on a stretch known as Ocean Beach, heading towards Bowentown. To access this beach, drive down Seaforth Rd towards Bowentown and park in the second layby car park on the left. From there, take the trails to the right and you will reach the nudist and cruising beach. On sunny days, especially in summer, the beach is frequented by nude men sunbathing and cruising in the nearby bushes.
