Au 1772 – Historic Gay & Naturist Guesthouse in Brittany
Immerse yourself in 18th-century charm at this exclusive gay-friendly retreat, set in a meticulously preserved 1772 manor house in the Breton countryside. The property welcomes naturists and offers a truly unique escape with its original wood paneling, working fireplaces, characteristic low doorways, and the authentic creak of centuries-old floorboards.
Two distinctive bedrooms occupy the first floor, each blending historic character with modern comfort. The Monarch Suite features a romantic 140cm canopy bed and private shower room, while the Green Room boasts a four-poster bed with private shower (toilet located on the landing). From 2025, guests can enjoy year-round relaxation in a new greenhouse-enclosed jacuzzi, perfect for Brittany’s changeable weather.
Ideal for exploring inland Brittany, the property sits at the crossroads between Rennes, Brest, Saint-Malo and Vannes. Discover the region’s diverse attractions from this peaceful base: the dynamic energy of Rennes, Dinan’s medieval streets, Saint-Malo’s maritime history, the bookshops of BĂ©cherel, and the legendary BrocĂ©liande forest. The location offers easy highway access while providing a quiet alternative to crowded coastal areas.
Your stay includes breakfast and jacuzzi access. Secure parking is available for bicycles and motorcycles. As the village has no restaurants, the host offers optional shared evening meals with advance notice.
