Toter Grund is a nudist beach on the Danube Island, on the New Danube side, in a designated area for nudity. It’s about a 5km walk from the rowing center, but some folks ride bikes. It’s a very relaxed and friendly place. There are also some lovely swimming ponds for skinny dipping.

To get there, follow the sandy path after the rowing center, parallel to the tarmac road, or turn right into the bushes. There are several small trails leading to the ponds. Next to the sandy path, there are several open spaces where gay guys often gather.

As the sun starts to warm up in late April or early May, you’ll likely find a lively crowd of gay men here.
