Beach Tarare, located at the eastern point of Guadeloupe (Anse de la Gourde, Pointe Tarare), is the island’s most beautiful and only official nude beach. Featuring crystal clear waters, white sand, and palm trees, it offers a picturesque and serene escape. Access is easy via a short, well-maintained path starting behind the Chez Michel restaurant parking lot, where ample parking is available. The beach itself is small, with prime shaded spots under the palm trees. Though the water can be rough, it is still suitable for swimming.
Frequented by a mix of French tourists, gay and straight couples, and a few local Guadeloupian men, Beach Tarare provides a relaxed and discreet environment. It’s an ideal spot for unwinding, swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying complete nudity. While the beach is perfect for nude sunbathing, those seeking more privacy or activities can explore the nearby bushes and trails. The area mainly attracts adults and tends not to draw families with children.
