This hidden bay, located just around the corner from Laem Ka Beach in Phuket, is an idyllic and secluded retreat, often whispered about as the “gay beach” of the area. While its reputation suggests a gathering spot, visitors may find themselves alone, making it a perfect escape for solitude and tranquility.
To reach it, head to Rawai Seafood Market (22/9 4233 Tambon Rawai, Amphoe Mueang Phuket, Chang Wat Phuket) by motorbike. Walk past the market to its end, where a trail leads over a small hill into a reserve now closed to traffic. From there, a 500-meter walk will bring you to a gap in the bushes marked by a large drain pipe, opening onto this serene and picturesque bay.
